Position Summary
The (RN) Circulating Nurse plans, implements, and evaluates surgical patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
Position requirements
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Previous Surgery experience
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Performance Standards
- Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients
- Anticipates and provides equipment and supplies in a timely manner
- Creates and maintains a sterile field
- Monitors and controls the OR Suite environment
- Handles/ transports/ stores/ prepares/ specimens/administers medications/ solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Facilitates staff development and training
