This patient population may include low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES:nnConducts Maternal-Fetal Assessment.nnProvides nursing support to the laboring patients, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management.nnProvides stabilization and transition of the normal newborn at delivery.nnCirculates and scrubs for Cesarean Sections.nnCares for the post-surgical patient.nnAssists the anesthesiologist with insertion of an epidural and provides care to the patient with regional anesthesia.nnProvides care to the High-Risk maternity patient.nnQualificationsnnJOB REQUIREMENTS:nnGraduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree is preferred.nnOne year of related work experience in an acute care setting requirednnPrevious recent Labor and Delivery Experience is preferred, or One to two years Med/Surg experience with completion of Mother/Baby Education program.nnRegistered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.nnCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
