Scheduling Business Analyst (IT Operations)

An innovative, growing industry leader is searching for a contract to hire Enterprise Scheduling Business Analyst (IT Operations). You will support the Corporate Data Center Services Division within IT. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently.
What Will You Do?
• Manage the installation, configuration, management, performance and operation of the Tidal scheduling tool.
• Maintain systems software, networking, systems integration, and hardware diagnosis and production configurations.
• Ensure the systems are operational and functioning through high availability configuration.
• Monitor backups of the systems and ensure backup integrity through recovery tests as required to satisfy business needs.
• Oversee and manage operating system constructs to ensure that data is secured.
• Provide infrastructure integration configuration for applications and devices to ensure secure, integrity conscious job scheduling.
• Diagnose performance and operating system issues to ensure effective processing.
• Examine day to day systems processes and recommend improvements.
• Operate system software installations including: licensed internal code upgrades, operating system patches, and new installations
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement performance improvements.
• Evaluate the server infrastructure and associated services and provide best practices guidance related to systems architecture and management.
• Collaborate on issue resolution with vendors, partners, and technical staff.
• Communicate the status of support request to users and management.
• Create, maintain and follow standards, policies and procedures.
What Experience Should You Have?
• Bachelor's degree (additional years of IT experience may offset degree requirement)
• 5 years of IT systems engineering experience to include:
o Tidal system administration
o Experience managing a mid to large sized server configuration consisting of both physical and virtual servers
• Ability to work non-traditional work hours and occasional off hours to control interruptions to production processing and business impact
What are Some Nice to Haves?
• Understanding of Tidal scheduling tool, high availability (HA) principles,
• SAP background/understanding.
• AWS background/understanding
