Our team of pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians and pediatricians at TeamHealth Jefferson Washington Township Hospital provide care in a state-of-the-art hybrid pediatric emergency department.

About the Role:

• Board certified ABP with ED experience preferred
• Facility requirements: board certified/board eligible within 5 years of residency, PEM ABP-PEM, ABP, AOBP, active/pending New Jersey license, CDS, DEA, PALS, ACLS
• EMR: Epic
• Annual volume: 5,000 for pediatric ED
• 24 hours pediatric emergency physician coverage per day
• Adult EM physicians to assist with advanced airway and critical care
• Comfortable working with ages birth to 18
• Pediatric ED beds
• 4% admission rate
• 8 pediatric inpatient beds/manage pediatric patients until discharge
• Admit 1-2 inpatient per day with an average 1-2 day stay
• NICU staffed with 24-hour, in-house neonatology, no delivery room responsibilities
• CHOP, Nemours, St. Chris PICU and Cooper Hospital PICU pediatric specialists for consults and transfers
• Medical students and PA students rotate through pediatric ED along with family medicine, orthopedic, and podiatry residents from Jefferson Health Teaching affiliate with Rowan University
