Responsibilities:
- End-to-end employee lifecycle support
- Recruitment and Onboarding - work with hiring managers, HRM and talent acquisition team to identify and onboard top talent; be the key point of contact before and during first few months to ensure effective onboarding
- Reward and Benefits - work with central reward and benefits team when required for new hires, adjustments and other changes in reward and benefits.
- Training - ensure all new employees fulfil training requirements.
- Set-up and run ad-hoc training (i.e. HR systems, recruitment, and performance management) as and when required
- Employee Relations - manage more junior employee relations issues directly; provide coaching to supervisors and managers through the process.
- Partner with Corporate Employment Law team to ensure risk is mitigated.
- Provide onsite HR support as required - serve as main point of contact
- Supporting Leave of Absence management mostly among hourly Team Members
- Review and take action on requests that come in through the system.
- Be able to do in-person visits to locations to provide assistance with accommodations
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study
- 3-5+ Years of experience in HR Related position Project Management Experience
- Experience in FMLA/ LOA and reasonable accommodations; able to follow a case full cycle and be able to make decisions
- A strong accommodations/ LOA experience.
- Comfortable with making decision and being able to complete the process start to finish.
- Experience being the decision maker for accommodations.
- Experience individuals with ADA and LOA; able to do full cycle (start to finish) for ADA and LOA. Primary focus should be ADA.
- Must have strong CA - LOA, FMLA, and ADA experience and have recent CA law experience.
- Direct experience (or strong knowledge) with driving the interactive process regarding reasonable at-work accommodations.
- A strong grasp of reasonable accommodations and preferably who have been spending a majority of their recent experience engaging in the interactive process.
- For those who have more generalist experience, I would need them to have a very strong grasp of the legal obligations under the ADA and how to meaningfully move through the process.
- Experience administering leave in CA or otherwise have a strong understanding of the LOA interactions in CA.
- Be independent, a go-getter, have an ability to collaborate if needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to work with all types of demographics in the HR/Leave space.
- 2 years of HR experience, 1+ year of recent LOA experience
- Need to be able to navigate through difficult communication.
- Ability to prioritize; Multitask
- 2 years as a Generalist and 1 year experience in Accommodations and Leave of Absence - Be able to manage cases start to finish
- Strong Understands CA Accommodation and Leave Laws - Able to provide details information to individuals asking for assistance
- Knowledge of requirements and processes for leave and reasonable accommodations
- Able to explain the eligibility requirements for FMLA; direct experience (or strong knowledge) with driving the interactive process regarding reasonable at-work accommodations.
- Ideal candidates will come from Amazon, Target, Walmart or other larger manufacturers

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
