Relief Mental Health provides transcranial magnetic stimulation, Spravato, IV ketamine, medication management, general psychiatric care, and therapy all in an outpatient setting. We're seeking a full-time psychiatrist to join our growing team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, flexible, team-oriented, and empathetic.

Objectives of this role - Work with other clinicians and staff members to create an environment that empowers patients to pursue healthier lives
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans that fit their needs in accordance with best practices
- Explain the evaluation process to patients and/or primary caregivers, and consider input from patients, caregivers, and colleagues when developing treatment plans
Responsibilities - Evaluate individuals who are referred for psychiatric assessment
- Evaluate and oversee patient care for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
- Evaluate patients for Esketamine and Ketamine
- Diagnose individuals based on psychiatric evaluation, develop treatment plans, and provide support when appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and assessment
- Collaborate with on-site staff to communicate with medical providers outside the organization
- Compile documentation in accordance with organization's policies and procedures
- Collaborate with staff clinicians to provide a comprehensive plan of care for Relief patients
Required skills and qualifications - Doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
- License to practice medicine in the state of Illinois
- Active DEA license
- Extensive knowledge and familiarity with DSM criteria
- In depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods
- Board certified or Board eligible in psychiatry
- Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills
Preferred skills and qualifications - Flexibility to cover multiple work sites and provide aid in crisis situations
- Working knowledge of TMS and/or experience in TMS
- Interest in new innovation in psychiatry
