Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.nnOn site dailynnSupervises LPNs and/or Medical AssistantsnnMaintains emergency medical kit at each location.nnDevelop and implement a plan to have staff and patients, where appropriate, trained in the prescribed in the use of Narcan kit.nnSupport patients in the (self) administration of medicationnnDocumentation of (self) administration of medicationnnPerforms TB and Drug screenings on all patients within 72 hours of admissions.nnPerforms routine urine drug screens as directed by the treatment/recovery plan.nnMonitors and records vital signs.nnProvides triage and provides medical services accordingly.nnPerforms TB screenings on all patients.nnFor patients with health care needs, schedules, and coordinates all medical appointments, and provides periodic follow-up.nnReviews and transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance.nnObserves and records response to treatment/medication and notifies the Medical Director, the Director or Nursing, and the Program Director of any such instances.nnMonitors ongoing/chronic medical problems.nnManages minor needs of patients including attending to minor injuries, administering routine medications.nnMaintains all medical records.nnPerforms QA activities.nnEKGnnPerforms accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored, or disposed, as trained, and assigned, in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures.nnRemains current with all training as directed by Phoenix HousennCOMPETENCIES (KSAs)nnEthical PracticesnnJudgmentnnRelationship ManagementnnTime ManagementnnEmpathynnProfessional BoundariesnnGlobal and Cultural AwarenessnnCritical EvaluationnnProblem SolvingnnDecision MakingnnCommunicationnnTeamworknnCrisis ManagementnnTechnical CapacitynnQualificationsnnREQUIRED EDUCATIONnnRN with valid NYS licensennREQUIRED EXPERIENCEnnAt least three years related experience.nnQualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and or drugs.nnREQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONSnnNPI NumbernnMedicaid / Medicare Number (preferred)nnWORK ENVIRONMENTnnThis job operates in an indoor office environment.
