Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career.nnStrongsville Family Health & Surgery Center's Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) offers advanced outpatient surgery that allows patients to return home soon after their procedure without the need for overnight stays.nnA caregiver in this position works 7:00am - 3:30pm.nnA caregiver who excels in this role will:nnProvide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).nnAssess patient care needs, plan the delivery of care and process patients through the ASC.nnDirect other caregivers in providing patient care.nnAssume charge responsibilities, resolve problems and report variances.nnDevelop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.nnMaintain nursing competencies.nnParticipate in preparing staff development programs.nnIdentify self-learning needs, establish goals and evaluate attainment of goals.nnDemonstrate respect for the cultural and social differences that exist among people.nnMaintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and caregivers.nnDemonstrate a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the workplace and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.nnMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnGraduate of an approved school of nursing.nnCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).nnOne year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting OR three years as a Surgical Technician.nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain within six months of hire.nnIf caring for a pediatric population: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnCurrent demonstrated clinical proficiency.nnPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnBachelor of science in nursing (BSN).nnOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
