Job Description
Job Title: Staff RN
Job Specialty: Ortho/Trauma
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3rd shift, every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: 2 years of experience in ortho and/or trauma
License: Current multi-state Registered Nurse License from participating states in the Nurse Licensure Compact
Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or equivalent within 90 days of hire
Must-Have:
- Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
Job Description:
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment
- Deliver care primarily to an adult population and demonstrate competency in this area
- Job description aligns with essential functions from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010)
- Enroll in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program if non-BSN nurse has less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience; acceptance into a program expected within 15 months of hire, and degree program must be completed within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if pursuing an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing
- Maintain professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing, to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse
