This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.nnFunctionsnnProvides technical assistance and licensure standards for proposed and existing community-based programs serving the developmentally disabled. Evaluates proposed and existing programs by conducting on-site inspections of facilities and operations and submitting evaluation reports to supervisor. Coordinates licensure evaluation teams by selecting and directing team members on periodic review of programs. Develops and monitors corrective action plans to correct program deficiencies. Conducts and coordinates training and provides technical assistance to programs in needed areas. Analyzes program data and recommends licensing of specific programs within specified timeframes and assists in preparing reports to sectional administrators. Develops and submits new and revised procedures and standards for licensure of proposed and existing programs. Gathers and reviews current state and federal trends, standards, and legislation to ensure departmental compliance. Investigates alleged violations of standards by conducting on-site visits to monitor program operations and reviewing records.
