Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Retail Supervisor, you will oversee gift shop associates on their designated shift, ensuring a high level of customer service and guest satisfaction with every customer interaction and sales opportunity. You will report to the Retail Shift Manager or Retail Manager on duty.nnPrimary Tasks:nnYou will oversee Cashiers to include resolving associate performance issues, conducting performance management with staff (Reviews, address sub-standard performance), promoting teamwork and inclusiveness, auditing/inspecting work of your team to ensure standards are met and training.nnEnsure individual sales, retention, and customer experience targets are met to support the manager in the achievement of financial and operational goals including expense control, loss prevention and safety.nnOversee and assist sales functions including POS systems, cash handling, and daily reporting. Develop methods, processes, staffing to forecast/fulfill demand.nnResolve customer issues, answers public inquiries, and immediately resolve customer/associate/management concerns.nnInspect the gift shop to ensure that it is kept clean, merchandise is visually appealing, pricing is correct and storage areas are organized, well-maintained, and secure.nnImplement corrective/preventative actions.nnDevelop training for new hires and incumbents to perform job tasks.nnPerform other tasks as may be assigned.nnJob Requirements:nnTen-Key proficiency (by touch) preferrednnCompetency in the use of Microsoft Excel (or similar spreadsheet programs)nnUse computers to enter, access or retrieve data.nnApply oral or written (legible) communication techniquesnnKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of high-volume cash handling procedures, policies, and rules.
