POSITION SUMMARY:nnUnder the direction of the RN Supervisor LMA, and in accordance with the approved policies and procedures, provides quality nursing care in an effort to promote comfort and healing and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes. The Registered Professional Nurse will use nursing process and approved nursing standards to provide safe and successful quality care. Provide ongoing education to both the patient and their families. Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education, inservice programs, departmental competencies, and self development activities. Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality patient care as well as act on standing orders. The RN will be responsible for working both on a team and independently on reports, with a provider, or managing a patient schedule. He or she will need to do all that is necessary on a given day to cover other clinical staff;. This will include and is not limited to rooming patients, triaging calls, assisting providers, setting up exam rooms, retrieving records, administering vaccines/injectables, performing Medicare Wellness Visits, & point of care testing, working referrals, scheduling procedures, completing insurance authorizations for medications and procedures.nnQUALIFICATIONS:nnEDUCATION:nnMinimum:nnGraduate of accredited school of professional nursing.nnPreferred:nnAdvanced degree in related field.nnLICENSE:nnMinimum:nnCurrent NYS RN license.nnPROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:nnMinimum:nnBLS Certification through RQI after hirennWORK EXPERIENCE:nnMinimum:nnOne year experiencennAbility to perform technical aspects of position.nnPosition requires excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.nnAbility to handle confidential information with discretion.nnSKILLS:nnMinimum:nnAbility to facilitate project management,nnWork effectively under pressure,nnMeet deadlines,nnManage multiple prioritiesnnEnhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.nnFamiliarity with regulatory requirements.nnExcellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills.nnDemonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.nnComputer literacy.nnPreferred:nnExperience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.nnSalary Range: $39.50
