Description Proof of the Pudding has spent the past four decades providing innovative menus, services, design expertise and event experiences to clients throughout Atlanta and beyond. As a preferred caterer to over 50 venues in and around Atlanta, our Off-Premise team spearheads event innovations and culinary experiences to a range of events from weddings, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings.
We are seeking additional Event Drivers/Stewards to assist the off-premise catering operations and warehouse team by loading and driving 16 ft box trucks to and from events. Event Drivers/Stewards will also provide onsite support at events by facilitating all plate-up and delivery of all food to the prospective functions; set-up and breakdown of all Banquet buffets; cleaning of all Food & Beverage food prep and servicing areas, including main kitchen, concessions kitchen and back hallways, as well as assist in the warehouse as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Pulls and packs event equipment, décor, and food and beverage according to pack lists and short sheets for each event. Packs items carefully and takes accountability for their cleanliness and care.
- Loads and unloads trucks, both in the warehouse and at events
- Ensures that all items are accounted for and being delivered to the correct location within the correct time frame. This includes both when departing the warehouse, and when departing an event.
- Gets team and product organized for event rollout to venue floor and assists with event set-up.
- Responsible for both pre & post event set-up/breakdown responsibilities.
- Receives, cleans, and re-packs equipment/flatware/glassware during events.
- Acts as steward for all equipment and service ware throughout each event, taking accountabilities for all items and their packing and safe return to Proof warehouse.
- Ensures post-event that no Proof of the Pudding items are left behind, no non-Proof items are removed, and that venue has been returned to its proper state.
- Works closely with event manager on each event to ensure event success and client satisfaction.
- Assists warehouse team with equipment, maintaining and organizing the china room & inventory control.
- Assists with fueling trucks/company owned vehicles.
- Supports off-site catered events by delivering any last-minute equipment needs. Including, but not limited to setting up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Responsible for safely driving company owned trucks and vans.
- Must consent to and pass a driving history background check to be considered.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience - Experience driving 16ft box trucks is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Downtown Atlanta Streets is a plus.
- All drivers must participate in a DOT physical including an eye exam and blood pressure test.
- Maintain a valid US Driver's License with a clean driving background.
- 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred.
Specialized Skills - Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator, able to work with and communicate with employees, managers, venue staff, vendors, and clients.

- Must have schedule flexibility. Shift hours vary by position and season. Weekday, evening, and weekend shifts will be regularly required.

- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, and in an upscale event environment.

Work Environment This position will begin work out of Proof's corporate office located in West Midtown. This position consists of helping load and unload box trucks, driving the trucks to event locations throughout greater Atlanta, being onsite event support, and returning the box trucks to the office. Events could be either indoors or outdoors with loading and unloading on different surfaces and terrain.

Physical Demands: - Prolonged periods of remaining in one space or moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Must have ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs
- Must have ability to move 150 lb rolling racks, dollies, carts and hand-trucks.
