Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY :
In a general way, the professors’ teaching load shall include preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students’ request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.
DUTIES :
The College is seeking full-time or part-time professors to join a dynamic team to teach one or both of the following courses within the Computer Science (420) discipline in the Winter 2025 semester.
420-H40-HR Web Programming IV (2nd posting)
(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs, and 5 hours of availability per week)
Students work with web servers and web server security. Using PHP and other tools students explore web application vulnerabilities and how to prevent them. They create web applications and prepare website security plans for the applications and harden the web server and applications against malicious attacks.
420-G20-HR Programming II
(3 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs, and 9 hours of availability per week)
Students continue the study of object-oriented programming using Java in this course. They create and refine an object model to solve more advanced programming problems. They learn to apply the principles of encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism in designing and coding object-oriented programs. They write programs that use arrays and that read and write data files. They write GUI programs with a continued focus on thorough testing.
420-F30-HR (IT Security)
(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs, and 5 hours of availability per week)
Students are introduced to current trends and issues related to computer security. From personal to corporate level IT security, this course includes topics such as: analyzing potential security risks, recognizing and preventing threats, responding to attacks when they occur, restoring system integrity if a breach occurs, pen testing and ethical hacking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
  • Several years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or college level is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written is required.
  • Knowledge of Java, .NET Core, SQL Server and Agile Methodology is required.
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining and networking Windows and Linux machines is required.

SALARY RANGE (PER YEAR) :
54,661.00$ - 105,266.00$
