This position will play a key role in managing and driving complex litigation cases, including criminal law, from strategy through resolution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in state and federal court proceedings and a passion for delivering high-quality legal services. Responsibilities: As a Senior Litigation Attorney, your main duties will include: 1. Managing all phases of litigation from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes. 2. Conducting extensive complex legal research and review of cases, statutes, regulations, and legal articles to prepare for trials and hearings. 3. Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. 4. Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals. 5. Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations, providing clear and concise legal advice. 6. Negotiating settlements in civil litigation cases to avoid trials and reduce legal costs. 7. Collaborating with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. 8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal news, and trends in the legal industry. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on criminal law. 3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. 4. Extensive experience with trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations in both state and federal courts. 5. Proficiency in legal research and writing, with a keen attention to detail. 6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes. 7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues. 9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. 10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
