Adult inpatient psychiatrist (locum). • Hours are typically 830am-430pm M-F • The caseload is generally limited to 12 patients (with rare exceptions in unusual circumstances) • Psychiatrist is responsible for developing the treatment plan, to include psychopharmacologic and non-psychopharmacologic interventions and estimated length of stay • Patients are seen daily M-F and a progress note is required daily M-F. • Short call system: doctors are asked to do a short call approximately once per week. The early doctor relieves the overnight moonlighter and therefore must be on campus by 8am. The late doctor stays until 5pm or when the moonlighter arrives. The late doctor is responsible for processing up to one admission arriving on campus prior to 4pm.
