Description
Medix Infusion is seeking a skilled PRN RN to join our team in Sherman, TX. As a licensed PRN RN, you will deliver direct patient care, including initiating and managing intravenous (IV) therapy, administering injections, and documenting patient care accurately. You'll ensure the appropriateness of prescribed therapies and uphold the highest standards of safety in medication administration.
This is an onsite, PRN RN opportunity at our clinic. The clinic is normally open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will be working as part of a small team with minimal supervision.

We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient consultations and review health histories.
  • Confirm the suitability of prescribed therapies and perform necessary assessments.
  • Provide patient education and ongoing care information.
  • Administer IV therapies, injections, and manage central and peripheral lines.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and prepare medications as required.
  • Document patient care, including lab results and changes in condition.
  • Communicate with referring providers about patient care and therapy tolerance.
  • Oversee Medical Assistants, ensuring safe and high-quality care.
  • Monitor inventory and manage medication orders.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and functioning properly.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and cultural sensitivity standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active RN license with 1-3 years of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Valid nursing license with all necessary credentials and certifications in good standing.
  • Previous experience in IV therapy or infusion specialty is highly preferred.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to thrive both in a collaborative team environment and as a self-reliant individual contributor.
  • Capable of performing all essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
