day-to day People & Culture (P&C) activity and providing advice on the people agenda, process and best practice to the Store Manager(s) and Retail Management team with particular focus on:nnRecruitmentnnSupport the Retail Management team to recruit hourly vacanciesnnCarry out the pre-interview recruitment activity required for non-management roles including uploading/advertising roles, screening, interview coordination, etcnnWork with Retail Management team to complete the relevant right to work checks and documentation retention stepsnnManage ATS: role creation, candidate response and onboarding stepsnnLiaise with third party contacts as requirednnParticipate in seasonal recruitmentnnOnboarding and InductionnnOversee the onboarding process including contract/offer preparation and payroll/systems set upnnSupport the P&C administrator(s) to complete the appropriate background or reference checks and organise the relevant workwear for new startersnnParticipate in the delivery of the Primark Induction/Welcome event for new starters in partnership with the Retail Management teamnnResource PlanningnnMonitor ongoing set up and maintenance of people data in the resource planning toolnnEnsure all rotas and schedules are communicated to colleaguesand holiday requests are compliantnnPartnering with the Retail Management to review absencesnnPayrollnnSupport the team to set up new starters & remove leavers on the payroll system and work with third party payroll providernnCoordinate the daily and weekly payroll activities including a review of the T&A and resolution of any errors with the relevant partiesnnEnsure the T&A/payroll system is updated with relevant absence information and documentation is processednnOversee and manage payroll adjustments/changesnnAct as point of contact for Colleague queriesnnTraining & DevelopmentnnSupport and track the delivery of core learning programs via learning platformsnnCapture training and development needs and discuss possible solutions with P&C Business Partner and Store ManagernnMaintenance of mandatory learning activity records e.g. first aid, data protectionnnEngagementnnOrganise events and activities that drive engagement, wellbeing and a positive Primark culturennDrive engagement and wellbeing communication on the in-store Notice Boards and in store meeting huddlesnnCoordinate and co-facilitate the listening group meetings and support the Store Manager in preparing for and responding to colleaguesnnSupport store recognition activities, including nominations and Store Manager reviewnnEncourage participation in engagement surveys and monitor completion ratesnnSupport and advise Retail Management on colleague conversations regarding health or well-being issuesnnPerformance ManagementnnMonitor completion of the mid-year and end of year review processnnProvide advice and support to the Retail Management team on the probationary period and performance review process and encourage a culture of feedbacknnSupport and advise the Retail Management team in the performance review processnnPrepare documentation/written correspondence for the Retail Management team for Probationary periods and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), providing advice on process as requirednnTalent & SuccessionnnCoach and develop Store Manager capability in the talent review process for their Retail Management teamnnShare feedback and creating action plans with the Store Manager on Retail Assistant talent/potentialnnOversee the talent, succession and development agenda for Retail Assistants, focusing on delivery of a talent pipeline for management rolesnnColleague RelationsnnResponsible for the governance of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements in-storennOversee the maintenance of colleague records (paper & electronic) in accordance with country regulationsnnProvide core employment law advice in-store, elevating complex issues where appropriatennCoach, advise and support Retail Management as a first point of contact on ER/CR matters, absence and return to work processnnProvide guidance to Retail Management in conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations as requirednnLiaise with the ER/CR team as required to resolve complex casesnnOversee the preparation of documentation required for ER/CR investigation and outcomesnnProvide advice and support to colleagues on P&C policies and proceduresnnEnsure ER/CR case reporting and tracking requirements are adhered tonnReportingnnOversee the maintenance and accuracy of people data that informs our systems, reports and analysis on people measures and KPIsnnSupport with completion of various reportingnnReview data from colleague exit interviewsnnMonitor compliance reportsnnParticipate in store auditsnnBusiness Alignment & ChangennSupport the Area P&C Business Partner in aligning P&C activity to the P&C Strategy and Purpose in-storennPartner effectively with the Central P&C team to support store implementation of global ways of working, policy and practicennCommercial and Business ImpactnnDevelop an understanding of commercial performance and customer experiencennDeliver against company expectations and policy, ensuring good governance and best practice is in place, compliance with regulations and mitigation of risk to the working knowledge of employment legislationnnAnalytical/problem-solving skills and an interest in developing commercial acumennnDelivery/facilitation skillsnnExperience in Talent, Performance and
