Nurse Practitioner - Internal Medicine/ General MedicinennGalveston, Texas, United StatesnnPatient CarennUTMB HealthnnRequisition # 2405592nnJOB SUMMARYnnProvides advanced practice health care services as well as documentation of services, collaborates with colleagues and clinical director, supervises assigned support staff, participates in quality assurance activities, and demonstrates a commitment to quality health care.nnEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEnnMinimum Qualifications:nnCompletion of a graduate level (or higher) nurse practitioner program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)nnNo experience requirednnLICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONSnnRequired:nnCertification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)nnLicensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON)nnLicensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in a nurse practitioner clinical area of specialization by the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON)nnCurrent RN’s who have not yet completed their nurse practitioner program or recent graduates who have not yet obtained their ANCC/AANP certification or APRN nurse practitioner license are eligible to apply for this position.
