Visit our website ( to learn more!nnWho will you be working with?nnYou will interact with suppliers and team members within Wabtec across all levels of the organization.nnHow will you make a difference?nnThis position will be responsible for meeting goals related to cost management, supplier management including supplier diversity, and process improvements.nnWhat do we want to know about you?nnDo you have the ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks?nnAre you proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook?nnDo you have comprehensive knowledge of MRP and best practices in high mix manufacturing?nnDo you have a Bachelor’s degree with specialization in business, purchasing, supply chain or a related field with 3-5 years purchasing and/or supply chain experience?nnDo you have experience with Oracle, Coupa Procure to Pay and HICX Supplier Onboarding?nnDo you have any experience with Power BI?nnDo you have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications?nnDo you have a working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls as it relates to purchasing and sourcing?nnAre you capable of planning and organizing work and processes; ability to self-direct multiple projects and meet deadlines?nnAre you able to travel, up to 10%nnWhat will your typical day look like?nnResearch and evaluate suppliers based on capabilities, price, quality, and delivery performance.nnPrepare RFQ/RFP that provides high quality products that meets Wabtec specifications.nnPrepares purchase orders and reviews requisitions for goods and services ensuring conformance within company policy.nnReviews and acts promptly on purchasing/sourcing related activity reports (expediting & payables).nnTrack and report sourcing savings activities.nnSupport Global and Strategic Sourcing initiatives with key suppliers.nnMaintain close contact with production planner, quality, customer service and engineering to maintain the most effective inventory control.nnCoordinates supplier notification of engineering technical changes.nnResolve supplier quality, pricing, and delivery issues promptly.nnParticipate in supplier audits and submit evaluations to management.nnParticipate on teams regarding new product development to help source materials and services.nnProject sourcing, planning, transition and/or implementation,nnPerform various other duties and activities as assigned by Manager within the physical constraints of the job.nnThis is not a remote rolennYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.nnWabtec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this opening.
