Job Title:Licensed Practical NursennReports To:Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of NursingnnPositions Supervised:Will assist in supervising MNAs on clinical staffnnPosition Summary:nnThe primary function of the Nurse (LPN) is to ensure well-being for all students at SHNH Crotched?Mountain School.nnQualifications:nnMust have a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of New HampshirennMinimum of two years nursing experience. (Pediatric experience preferred but not required.)?nnMust maintain licensing requirements and ongoing professional development.?nnEssential FunctionsnnUnder the guidance of the Director of Nursing, the staff RN/LPN performs in accordance with physicians orders.?nnProvide necessary nursing services to students in the residential program including distribution of medications as needed overnight.nnConducts the initial and ongoing assessment of students illness/injuries, updating the director/case manager/parent per protocols and determines the students needs to be seen by a PCP, urgent care, or emergency department for injury/illness requiring further assessment.?nnKeeps ongoing communication/consultation with the students family/guardian, home physicians, case management, and residential and/or educational staff.nnAdministrative duties as needed such as scanning of medical documents, filing, updated medical records as needed, updating student files, etc.?nnAdditional ResponsibilitiesnnWill assist in supervising MNAs on clinical staff.nnPhysical RequirementsnnMust be able to keep students safe from themselves and others and in some cases may need to implement safety care proceduresnnMust be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and in some cases be able to lift a childnnMust be able to lift 50lbs and more?nnFLSA Status:nnNon-Exempt
