Job Details Responsibilities
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer needs and delivery timelines
- Monitor production metrics (cycle time, scrap rates, downtime) and make adjustments as necessary
- Oversee setup and operation of shop equipment
- Lead a team of machine operators, setup technicians, and maintenance personnel
- Provide coaching, manage performance, resolve conflicts, and promote a safety-conscious and collaborative culture
- Identify inefficiencies in production and opportunities for process improvements
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and methods to optimize production
- Ensure products meet engineering and quality standards
- Investigate any quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies and conduct safety audits and trainings
- Schedule and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades on machinery
- Manage tooling inventory and ensure proper setup
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Plant Manager in a job shop environment
- Strong background in machining, CNC, or precision manufacturing
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Familiarity with production planning software and quality tools (Six Sigma, lean manufacturing)
- Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and engage directly with operations when business requires
- Certification in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality certifications
- Bilingual in Spanish plus
