Job Details

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer needs and delivery timelines
• Monitor production metrics (cycle time, scrap rates, downtime) and make adjustments as necessary
• Oversee setup and operation of shop equipment
• Lead a team of machine operators, setup technicians, and maintenance personnel
• Provide coaching, manage performance, resolve conflicts, and promote a safety-conscious and collaborative culture
• Identify inefficiencies in production and opportunities for process improvements
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methods to optimize production
• Ensure products meet engineering and quality standards
• Investigate any quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies and conduct safety audits and trainings
• Schedule and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades on machinery
• Manage tooling inventory and ensure proper setup

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Plant Manager in a job shop environment
• Strong background in machining, CNC, or precision manufacturing
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Familiarity with production planning software and quality tools (Six Sigma, lean manufacturing)
• Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and engage directly with operations when business requires
• Certification in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems
• Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality certifications
• Bilingual in Spanish plus
