We blend art with science to bring Nike’s vision to life in all retail environments, leading with our Members and Nike Direct digital and physical spaces and expanding to our retail partners, across Specialty, Athletic and Sporting Goods channels. The team has the unrivaled ability to see beyond trends and identify new market opportunities, delivering the right product, at the right price, in the right place, at the right time.nnBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experiencenn5+ years’ experience in footwear merchandising and/or product creation, in a vertical or wholesale environmentnnUnderstanding of retail key performance indicators and profit based metricsnnStrong strategy building skills that shape the future of the businessnnEffective communicator that collaborates and brings people togethernnProvides direction and mentorship to teammatesnnValues differences and builds strong relationships with high cultural awarenessnnProven balance of art and science in decision-makingnnSelf-directed, independent, and dedicatednnCultivates innovation while also ensuring accountabilitynnCommunicates vision and purpose and able to lead effectively in complex situationsnnSolves problems using limited information and implements solutions with the ability to foresee most future implicationsnnAdvises others on complex matters requiring in-depth knowledge or conceptual thinkingnnResponds with speed and agility, curiosity, and motivationnnWHAT YOU WILL WORK ONnnAs a Lead Merchant, you will strategize, build, and manage our global Women’s Running Footwear 3-year line plans, in close partnership with Product partners, and the Men’s Running team. You will craft extensive product journeys across each key franchise, across Road, Road Race, Track and Trail Footwear. A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed creation, management, and communication of seasonal assortments, creating a vision that spans multiple geographies, a diverse marketplace, and the breadth of Nike Running consumers.
