We are looking for a dedicated
Licensed Practical Nurse in
Eastern Colorado with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.
Locations: Alamosa, Aurora, Aurora, Burlington, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Denver, Golden, La Junta, Lakewood, Lamar, Pueblo, and Salida
Job Requirements: - 2 Years experience
- Any state license
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS

Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities: a) Possesses a valid, current license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as an LPN and be licensed to practice in the State of Colorado. All licenses must be unencumbered and remain in effect during the time they are providing services under the contract. Has been practicing as an LPN for at least one year within the past three years.
b) Can provide nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
c) Has and maintains current BCLS certification.
d) Demonstrates ability to lift 50 pounds.
e) Demonstrates ability to perform quality control checks and operator maintenance for a variety of patient care equipment.
f) Demonstrates ability to assist in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care.
g) Demonstrates ability to document care given and patient response in the medical record.
h) Demonstrates knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most used emergency drugs and their location.
i) Demonstrates ability to assist in patient/family education regarding prescribed medications/therapies/diagnostic procedures.
j) Demonstrates ability to participate in monitoring quality of care according to processional standards and established procedures.
k) Demonstrates ability to respond to telephone inquiries regarding ward services and/or follow-up ancillary reports.
l) Demonstrates ability to assist with ward related administrative tasks.
m) Demonstrates ability to administer oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy.
n) Demonstrates ability to sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the Community.
