This role also includes delivering New Hire Orientations and teaching essential courses like the OSHA-10 ETD, OSHA-20 HR, First Aid/CPR, Equipment Training, and other courses applicable to Transmission Construction. This trainer will use T&D PowerSkills and UKG lesson curriculum to ensure apprentices fulfill their mandatory classroom training. This position will require travel to jobsites as necessary for in-person, virtual training, and E-Learning.nnRemote but have to reside in one of the these states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida.nnResponsibilitiesnnRemote but have to reside in one of the these states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida.nnDelivery of the MasTec Apprentice Program classroom and field training.nnDocumentation and Maintaining of Apprentice Training records and progress.nnPlan and organize lessons, ensuring they align with the Apprentice Program.nnMaintain accurate records, attendance, and adhering to program guidelines.nnCoordinate with management to keep the instruction up to date, incorporating any necessary changes or updates.nnPromote a culture of safety consciousness and ensure apprentices adhere to safety.nnTravel up to 50% to various locations.nnQualificationsnnRequirements:nnRemote but have to reside in one of the these states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida.nnHigh School DiplomannMinimum 5 years’ experience in Transmission Construction and 3 years’ experience in TrainingnnAbility to travel as needed to various locations.nnValid driver’s license.nnProficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel.nnExcellent written and communication skills.nnAbility to think strategically, independently, and provide strong leadership.nnPreferred:nnBachelor’s Degree supporting Electrical Utility IndustrynnBi-lingual is strongly desired, English / SpanishnnOSHA 500, 510 certified.nnOSHA-10 ETD, OSHA-20 HR certified.nnFirst Aid, CPR, AED certified.nnExperience in OSHA Safety & HealthnnPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentnnThis job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.nnThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
