The Project Monitor will support SCEP in project monitoring activities including, but not limited to, performing tasks to assist with the effective and timely execution of federal grants and obligation of funds, creating and maintaining tracking tools for balance of funds and status of grant applications, and creating requisitions in the procurement system for obligation of funds, de-obligation of funds, no-cost time extensions for Grantees, and for the closeout of grants.nnResponsibilities: Assist federal staff with monitoring the states' administration of federal grants. Regularly use government databases and systems including STRIPES, STARS, iPortal, Corporate Planning System, PAGE, Word, Excel, and Adobe. Create requisitions for obligation of funds, de-obligation of funds, no-cost time extensions, closeout of grants, and requisitions for acquisition. Communicate with the budget team to plan for timely arrival of program funds and to keep track of the balance of funds and for early reallotment funds. Maintain tracking spreadsheets for SCEP funds, current funding codes, Grantee contacts, and various other tracking documents. Gather financial documents and other state grant documents as needed. Collect weekly work plan information and summarize information for leadership. Create meeting agendas, document and distribute meeting notes.nnRequirements: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. 5 years' experience. Professional attitude. Strong attention to detail. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team. Ability to balance a high workload with multiple projects and tasks to meet congressionally mandated deadlines. Must be U.S. citizen. Successful drug screening. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.nnPreferred Experience: Experience working within DOE programs. Experience in grant management.
