Job Summary
The Compensation & Benefit Analyst is responsible to evaluate and maintain the company’s pay structure and compensation plans and serves as a back-up in administration of the benefit programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts market studies and analysis and recommend compensation structures to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and alignment to the company’s compensation philosophy
- Creates, maintains, analyzes, and distributes materials related to the execution of all compensation programs
- Accountable for providing accurate and timely reward specialist advice
- Assists in managing the process of bonus/incentive/commission plan setup, payment calculation, analysis and communication of plan-to-date achievement/earnings
- Conducts job evaluations for newly created or revised positions, recommends a salary grade and updates job descriptions as needed
- Manage annual reward cyclical processes, such as annual performance & reward reviews, employee share plans and benefit schemes, at a local level
- Ensure local reward communication tools and materials are up to date and readily available to employees
- Partners with the payroll team to ensure timely plan deployment, payroll submissions, and audit compliance
- Audits the compensation, payroll and workforce data/processes to ensure compliant, accurate data
- Performs special studies, analysis and recommendations on compensation and other human resources related issues as needed
- Maintains and manages the salary, variable pay and job profile creation in PeopleSoft
- Administers job structures, compensation ranges, other compensation guidelines
- Support local, regional and global reward projects as required.
- Provision of analytical support in the design of reward & wellbeing solutions and management of their implementation at a local level.
- Serves as a backup for the processing of benefit plan payments and responding to carriers on benefit related STD/LTD questions.
- Develops and maintain collaborative relationships with key partners in HR, Legal, Finance, Accounting and Executive Leadership.
- Responds to multiple ad hoc analyses and requests from business partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of compensation experience preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years analysis experience preferred
- Working knowledge of federal Fair Labor Standards Act
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong general understanding of payroll, human resources and benefits processes
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service
- Well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and deadline controls
