The Recruiting LPN is generally responsible for the pre-employment physical review and processing for required positions. Performs physical reviews in a timely and professional manner. Also responsible to provide clinical and administrative assistance with Case Management and employee injuries.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs physical reviews and processes these physicals in a timely and professional manner. Generally responsible for clinical approval of new applicants meeting the physical standard required for applied position.
- Assesses physicals and provides recommendations on the hiring of new employees.
- Clarifies and follows up with clinicians after reviewing physicals.
- Obtains clearance from treating provider when warranted.
- Performs complete and professional assessments in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures.
- Maintains and establishes relationships with various Occupational Health Clinics throughout the US.
- Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA and Emergency Planning.
- Facilitates and utilizes clinical portals when available.
- Collaborates with multiple departments to streamline hiring process.
- Maintains employee pre-employment physicals in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards.
- Assists departments with identifying, evaluating, implementing, accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty.
- Works on-call evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis. Frequency is determined by the number of employees available to share in the responsibility. Must respond in a timely manner.
- Serves as a backup to other nurses regarding occupational health cases.
- Assists management with work related injuries.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience: - 2+ years working as an LPN with clinical capacity
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Must be a clinician authorized within his/her scope of practice (as established by applicable state law or if none, by the applicable national board).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Advanced knowledge in industrial health standards.
- Ability to communicate supportively and compassionately with injured workers.
- Good interpersonal skills to collect important data from workers or supervisors.
- Ability to timely analyze the injury or illness to develop next steps in case management.
- Strong leadership skills to instill confidence and trust with injured workers.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to make intelligent, informed decisions about the health and safety of employees and their organizations.
- Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors, other referral sources and patients.
- Must be computer literate.
