Requirements and Qualifications 1. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, licensed to practice in the State of Insert State as a Registered Nurse (RN). 2. A minimum of one (1) year experience as a nurse (preferred), preferably in the area of geriatrics, rehabilitation, or psychiatric nursing. 3. Current CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required. Must maintain active certification. 4. Must be able to function as a Charge Nurse ensuring that all nursing functions within the assigned unit(s) run smoothly and efficiently for his/her scheduled shift. 5. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to hear, understand, read, write, and communicate effectively in English. 6. Has evidence of good mental and physical health, maturity, and responsibility. 7. Must be able to function independently performing related duties/tasks with minimum supervision. Must also be able to function collaboratively. 8. Must have basic knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines governing long-term care facilities. 9. Must have good assessment skills and a working knowledge of the nursing process. 10. Must be proficient in computer usage and software applications, including but not limited to electronic medical records. 11. Must possess supervisory and leadership skills to interact effectively with staff, residents, and families. 12. Must meet local, state, and federal requirements for background checks. 13.
