Our client, a law firm offering a wide range of services, is seeking a Family Law lawye r with 5+ years of experience to join its team. If hired, you will join our client full-time, in a hybrid work arrangement , in a supportive, seasoned team committed to the Ottawa community.

Salary range: $85,000-$100,000; depending on your experience

About you

To be successful, you will need:

• 5+ years of strong experience as a Family Law Lawyer
• A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• A passion for family law
• To be comfortable and have experience in Court for various proceedings
• Apply high standards and integrity to your work
• Have strong drafting and analytical skills to assess complex issues while providing your unique perspective
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Provide effective legal advice on matters with significant complexity and risk exposures
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Solid customer service skills and professionalism
• Bilingual in English & French is an asset

About the role

If hired, you will:

• Litigate family law matters, including preparing for, arguing and attending Conferences, Motions, Trials, etc
• Negotiate, draft, review, and manage a variety of family law contracts and pleadings, such as: Domestic Contracts, Applications, Answers, Conference Briefs, Motion materials, etc
• Create strong and long-lasting connections with clients
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
• Contribute to a collaborative and collegial team environment
