Overview
OVG seeks a skilled, motivated and reliable individual to fill the full-time position(s) of Housekeeping/Set-Up Worker for the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Under direct supervision from a Lead Housekeeping/Setup Worker, Housekeeping/Setup Workers perform event set-up and tear down, custodial, housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned. Other duties include, but are not limited to, operating various types of cleaning equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts and scrubbers. In the absence of a Lead Housekeeping/Setup Worker, Housekeeping/Setup Workers may receive instruction from a Housekeeping/Setup Manager, Director of Operations, Event Manager or Manager on Duty.
This role will pay $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
Job Duties (Including, but are not limited to):
  • Perform and assist with assigned tasks in the set-up, cleaning and tear-down of facility equipment.
  • Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision

  • Set-up and break down a variety of meeting room equipment, including but not be limited to chairs, tables, risers, staging.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED and must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and days including early morning, days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain a CPR certificate and a valid Virginia driver's license.
