Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-Part Time- Night Shift onlynnSUMMARY:nnThe LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care to clients currently participating in the Agency’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). Through actively working to achieve clients’ trust, the LPN will develop therapeutic relationships with residential clients and will provide quality patient care. Further, the LPN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in the evaluation of the client’s treatment process. Thus, the LPN will have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, while demonstrating the ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism. The LPN is supervised by the Director of PRTF Nursing and Healthcare Coordination.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES:nnAssist providers, registered nurses and other health care professionals with examinations, treatments, and procedures.nnObtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, and vital signs within your scope of practice.nnImplement provider orders as well as administer medication and document that the necessary medication was administered as ordered.nnSubmit regular reports to the provider as requested.nnUtilize knowledge of medications (psychotropic and other) in the treatment process and educate clients and residential staff regarding medications and client health care needs.nnAdapt to changing situations and/or work assignments as well as provide services to both areas of behavioral health and autism residential treatment.nnConsult with PRTF staff as needed to ensure quality client care.nnCollect objective and subjective client data, report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in client's conditions to the registered nurse or provider. Complete and maintain documentation as required to record such client data, reactions, and/or changes in conditions.nnUtilize therapeutic verbal and non-verbal techniques with clients as needed.nnCoordinate client transfers to outside health care providers or medical facilities.nnParticipate in training orientation of new employees of the residential health clinic.nnMaintain proper use and storage of all medical supplies and equipment.nnPerform other related duties related to the delivery of services within the PRTF.nnOTHER DUTIES:nnAttend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.nnAll required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.nnRespect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.
