What is Required to be an LPN at PSI
We expect our LPNs to have a current LPN license through the North Carolina Board of Nursing. While school health experience is preferred, it is not necessary. We want to make sure you are knowledgeable about communicable disease prevention and medication protocol. And of course, you will need to know HIPAA laws and be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
Qualifications
- Valid State LPN license required
- Must be knowledgeable about OSHA guidelines, communicable disease prevention, medication protocol, medical records management, and crisis intervention procedures
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Must have a current CPR certification and pass a comprehensive background check.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
Job Types : 30 hrs./week, Permanent
Pay : $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours : 30 per week
Anticipated start date : January 6th, 2025
