We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy, particularly in pediatrics and early intervention. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients of various ages. The Speech Pathologist will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational staff to support patient progress in various settings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech therapy to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and families about speech disorders and effective communication strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
*Requirements* - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred; familiarity with early intervention practices is a plus.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
