Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee all maintenance activities at our facility, ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and systems to meet production and safety standards. This role involves planning and implementing maintenance programs, managing maintenance staff, coordinating with production, and developing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strong technical skills, leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced, food production environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance Management: Plan, organize, and oversee all maintenance tasks, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the maintenance team, including technicians and support staff. Ensure team members adhere to safety and operational protocols.
- Scheduling & Planning: Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, ensuring consistent and efficient operations aligned with production needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity, safety, and equipment reliability.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance practices comply with industry regulations, company standards, and OSHA guidelines. Conduct regular safety training and audits.
- Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, monitor spending, and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment; establish reordering practices to avoid shortages and prevent delays in repairs.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, equipment installations, and maintenance projects.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in food production or a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems. Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Leadership: Proven experience managing a team and fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including cold storage, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
