We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions. This role involves working in various settings, including home health, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient care, with a focus on geriatrics and other populations. The Occupational Therapist will develop personalized care plans and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop effective treatment plans.
- Implement individualized therapy programs aimed at improving patients' daily living skills and overall functionality.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to enhance recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
*Qualifications* - A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience in home health, skilled nursing facilities, or inpatient settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
