The Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs delegated patient care functions. The work that is performed is done under the established policies and procedures of the institution and within the educational preparation, regulatory requirements for licensure and any additional advanced practice training (under the Alabama Board of Nursing 610-X-.05 Standardized Procedures for specific procedures). The LPN II will be expected to assess and analyze a given situation and make decisions within the limits of license practiced. rec:max
Education: Basic nursing education required for Practical Nurse licensure
Experience: One year experience in a clinical setting preferred. Acute care hospital experience preferred. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama. BLS required.
