- School Location: Children's Learning Center at United Cerebral Palsy in Roosevelt, NY
Shift timing:- Morning. (7:20 am - 4:15 pm) Requirement : Jacob is diagnosed with Epilepsy Seizure, Disorder, Cerebral Palsy , Global Developmental Delay, Nystagmus and SLC 13A Genetic Mutation , which includes epilepsy and seizures. He is at high risk for aspiration pneumonia. As per the Doctor's order, Jacob needs continuous gastronomy feeding throughout the day.
Job Description: - RNs in school settings assess the health and wellness of students. This includes conducting health screenings, checking for signs of illness, and monitoring students with chronic health conditions.
- RN have to stay with jacob during the school hours (7.20 am - 4.15 pm)
- Jacob needs continuous gastronomy feeding throughout the day.
- School nurses are often the first responders in case of medical emergencies that occur during school hours.
- School nurses may administer medications to students who require them during school hours, ensuring that proper dosages are administered and maintaining accurate records.
- RNs manage students with chronic health conditions such as allergies, and epilepsy. They help students understand their conditions, administer medications or treatments as needed, and create individualized care plans
- RNs maintain accurate and confidential health records for each student, including medical history, immunization records, and any health-related incidents or treatments.
