Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Locum Job in Orlando, Florida

Seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to help cover Level 4 NICU in Orlando, Florida. This is a great opportunity for dedicated NPs to gain experience in a high-acuity environment while supporting our incredible team of physicians and APPs.

Multiple Position Overview:
Day Shift (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 10-hour shifts)
6-7 Nurse Practitioners working alongside 3 physicians.
Each NP will cover approximately 10-12 admitted patients per shift.
Night Shift (4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 16-hour shifts)
Two Nurse Practitioners working with one physician.
Coverage for admissions, emergent consults, and all emergencies for admitted babies.

About NICU:
Bed Capacity: 100 beds (average census 95-100).
Patient Demographics: Level 4 NICU caring for infants as young as 22 weeks with severe respiratory complications, surgical cases, and more.

Common Procedures:
Endotracheal Intubation
Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement
Lumbar Puncture
Umbilical Artery/Venous Catheterization
Nasogastric (NG) & Orogastric Tube Placement

Requirements:
Florida License (Active and in good standing).
Proven experience with positive feedback in previous roles.
Ability to perform the following independently:
Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement (including removal).
Endotracheal Intubation.
Umbilical Artery or Vein Catheterization.
EMR System: EPIC
Schedule: Approximately 21 day/night shifts per month, starting in June.
