Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial activities for the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and cost management, ideally within the hospitality industry. This role will provide strategic financial leadership to support the growth and operational efficiency of the company.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform reconciliations of bank account and credit card statements.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis to guide financial decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, analyze financial trends, and prepare financial projections to ensure business stability and growth.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
- Oversee inventory control and cost management systems to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and audits.
- Maintain and optimize financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Supervise and provide guidance to other administrative/accounting staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to provide financial insights and support for operational decision-making.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed by senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control in a multi-location business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Demonstrate integrity in all business interactions and honor personal commitments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-starter and self-managed; embraces accountability and diligently seeks to see a project/task through to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
