Your Role on the Team Under the general supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the cleaning of UC Irvine facilities. These duties will include but not be limited to: daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior and exterior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary (i.e. furniture moving) to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Responsibilities may include weekend work during open and closing and during peak work periods, and may also include after-hours emergency response and cleaning.

The expected pay range for this position is $20.46- $23.73 (Hourly)
Required:
- Knowledge of the correct and safe use of proper cleaning supplies
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Cleaning skills - Ability to vacuum, mop, dust, wash walls, wash windows and other surfaces.
- Cleaning equipment - Ability to use vacuum, mop and pail, and other related equipment
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to clean sinks, showers, and toilets.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing for the purpose of instructions, record keeping and communicating issues with students and staff.
Preferred:
- Previous custodial experience.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English.
Special Conditions:
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
- Must be able to operate a Facilities Management vehicle.
- Must be able to work outside regularly scheduled shift. Must be able to wear PPE.
