ummary: Guided by the knowledge of the basic principles of nursing based on the biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences assumes responsibility through nursing process. Provides and coordinates nursing care of patients within the Radiology Department with the goal of attaining, maintaining, and restoring optimum health. Assists with exams, procedures, and treatment. Administers medications when ordered. Monitors condition and status of patient before, during, and after procedures. Provides patient education and acts as liaison for patients and their families using the Interdisciplinary Care Model. Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Required: -Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body. -Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Ohio -BLS certified -ACLS certification Experience & Training: -Two (2) years relevant clinical experience for the following relevant areas: nuclear medicine-critical care nursing, radiation therapy-oncology, Special procedures-surgical, ER, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, SCVICU, or other applicable experience preferred -Competent in administration of moderate to conscious sedation preferred Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: -Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to multi-task in a customer-focused organization
