Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Specialty: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights, including weekends as scheduled
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Valid LPN/LVN license
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: Completion of at least one travel assignment with exemplary reference
Job Description:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
- Manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 15:1
- Work under the supervision of a charge nurse, utilizing systems such as PCC and POC for patient care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure effective communication and patient care
- Follow unit protocols and procedures for all aspects of patient management
- Adhere to the night shift schedule (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), including weekends and holidays as required
- Participate in floating as needed to support various units
- Wear grey scrubs as part of the dress code
- Utilize the Allscripts - Sunrise charting system for accurate and timely documentation
- Care for long-term and skilled patients, ensuring compassionate and professional treatment
