We are seeking two highly motivated individuals for a full-time, 8-12 month contract position with one of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in the Pet Industry. This Regulatory Specialist role will support the Director of Regulatory Affairs in all regulatory aspects of the business. You will help develop registration information, provide regulatory guidance in project meetings, and support the regulatory department in compliance activities. This position offers opportunities for career advancement and has the potential to convert to a permanent position at the conclusion of the contract.

Responsibilities

Represent regulatory at project team meetings.

Assemble registration dossiers and state tonnage fee reports, and submit to the states.
n n- n
Review labels for AAFCO and FDA compliance and track changes.
n n- n
Distribute commercial feed sample test reports to R&D.
n n- n
Submit regulatory contact reports into GGAP.
n n- n
Develop SOPs for regulatory processes.
n n- n
Maintain product lists (new, updated, and discontinued).
n n- n
Assist in company communications with state AAFCO officials.
n n- n
Track and assist with APHIS approval letters.
n n- n
Follow up internally with states on label issues and registration questions.
n n- n
Provide documentation support for international registrations.
n n- n
File regulatory FOIA requests.
n n- n
Monitor and track regulatory changes and trends for domestic and international registrations.

Support PLM – raw material specification and ISGA approval and verification of terminology.

Assist with product recalls.
n n- n
Support Director of Regulatory Affairs on an as-needed basis.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field of study.

2-4 years of regulatory experience.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with outside regulatory agencies.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Demonstrated regulatory experience in the Consumer Products industry.

Prior experience with the pet food industry.
n n- n
Prior Consumer Packaging Claims experience is a plus.
n n- n
Desire to progress to more high roles within the regulatory function.
n n- n
Working knowledge of government regulatory structure and processes.
n n- n
Pet Enthusiast preferred.

Work Environment
n
This position is remote, but candidates located in or willing to self-relocate to the Minneapolis, MN area are preferred. Periodic travel to Minneapolis may be required. The schedule is full-time, standard hours, with the possibility of summer hours (longer Monday-Thursday, half-day Friday) based on group and business needs. Candidates will need a personal laptop to log in through a provided VPN (note that Macs may have compatibility issues). The work environment values good communication skills and collaboration among team members. This position comes with holiday pay for six major holidays and accrued sick pay. Many previous contractors have transitioned to full-time positions.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
