As a Senior Purchasing Agent supporting MC Dean’s growing businesses, your role will include:
n

Functioning as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including MC Dean’s Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
n n- n
Working closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs, applying program/project management skills to assure the timely and efficientexecution of MC Dean’s portfolio of projects.
n n
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n- n
Procurement planning during the bidding phase
n n- n
Understanding contract specifications and bills of material
n n- n
Sourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors Developing comprehensive RFP’s
n n- n
Analyzing multiple quotes (scope leveling) Vendor Matrix ; working with project and engineering team to confirm completeness of scope of service and supply
n n- n
Negotiating and finalizing agreements
n n- n
Developing the Procurement Plan
n n- n
Postaward, managing plan implementation
n n- n
Post award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs,
n n- n
Transferring bid phase documents and knowledge to the project team
n n- n
Engaging with the project team on procurement planning & implementation
n n- n
Capturingand communicating market intelligence across projects & programs
n n- n
Understanding, evaluating, and incorporating current market conditions into procurement plans, including but not limited to:
n n- n
Pricing trends
n n- n
Lead times and logistical requirements
n n- n
Best value opportunities
n n- n
Alternative products opportunities (Material cost/Labor savings)
n n- n
Evolving contract compliance requirements
n n- n
Reading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.

Traveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendor as needed

Required Qualifications:
n
n- n
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
n n- n
Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
n n- n
Relevant Purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction /specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.
n n- n
Proven written and verbal communication abilities
n n- n
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
n n- n
Familiarity with accountingprinciples.
n n
n
