Summary of Position The Digital and Social Media Manager will be a key member of the driven, forward-thinking Marketing team, engaging in supportive, constructive, and genuine work to forward the Mission of The Salvation Army. The Manager will develop, execute and track online marketing strategies by collaborating with Marketing Director and other marketing and development staff to drive engagement and online donations through customer acquisition, email strategy, social strategy and digital ad buy. General Electronic Communications Manage calendar and develop all online campaigns for email marketing, fundraising, advertising and outreach. Build email lists in coordination with donor database and volunteer management software. Create, send and perform all mechanics to send and track: email fundraising appeals, regular and breaking news email blasts, weekly, monthly or quarterly e-newsletter. SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Help identify keyword/audience targets for Search Engine and Social Media Advertising. Establish and monitor effective Pay-Per-Click ad campaig s. Establish/set up conversion goals for SEM campaigns. Review campaign performance and optimize as needed. Help create detailed key performance indicator (KPI) reporting on all services. Execute and monitor technical SEO strategy on an ongoing basis for clients. Present strategies and reporting metrics to clients. Research and evaluate digital marketing indicators and status and assist in strategy creation for corps and internal departments (ie; youth group). Stay up to date on trends and best practices for digital SEO and content marketing and provide internal recommendations for continual improvement. Work with 3rd party vendors for improving success rates. SMM (Social Media Marketing) Develop monthly social media marketing calendar for Northern Division. Manage multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube). Develop creative content and disseminate targeted communications through a variety of channels. Track and analyze marketing and communications performance. Provide onsite assistance at events social media posting, on-site interviews, video posting and photography. Respond to other matters as needed and assigned. Provide support for marketing initiatives, including events, programs, and campaigns. Increase the number of followers we have by following others and engaging with audience. Adjust plans from analytics to better optimize engagement and outreach. All other duties as assigned.
