Our top-tier benefits and great retirement packages can help you build a rewarding career and lasting future with the State of Illinois.nnEssential FunctionsnnServes as Assistant Guardian.nServes as second in command regarding guardianship services.nServes as full line supervisor.nServes as liaison with the Department’s Psychiatric Hospitalization Unit.nWith authority to commit the Department to a specific course of action, represents the Department before other state agencies and governmental entities, private and public organizations, and other community and professional groups.nServes as program monitor for Statewide Consent Unit contracts, including those for the review of psychotropic medications and for the review of recommended major medical treatment for youth by pediatric consultants.nPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.nnMinimum QualificationsnnRequires a master’s degree in social work or a related human services field.nRequires four (4) years of administrative child welfare/child protection experience with an MSW OR five (5) years of administrative child welfare/child protection experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field.nnPreferred QualificationsnnPrefers four (4) years of professional experience making decisions in a high-pressure environment in a public or business organization.nPrefers four (4) years of professional management experience in a public or business organization.nPrefers four (4) years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization.nPrefers four (4) years of professional experience evaluating program and personnel performance in a public or business organization.nPrefers four (4) years of professional experience conducting quality review in a public or business organization.nnConditions of EmploymentnnRequires ability to pass a background check.nRequires ability to travel in the performance of duties.
