Job Description
This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days/week in the Cary, NC office for Summer 2025.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Market Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on our competitors, industry trends, and market dynamics. This role will play a pivotal part in informing strategic decision-making and ensuring our company's competitive advantage. Reporting directly to the Product Manager, this role is within the Product and Innovation Team of the Aperture Solutions Division.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research on our competitors' products, services, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and customer acquisition tactics
- Analyze competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to identify areas for improvement and potential partnerships
- Monitor competitor activities, including new product launches, mergers and acquisitions, and changes in market share
Market Research:
- Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact our business
- Analyze market size, growth rates, and segmentation to identify opportunities for expansion
- Conduct customer surveys and market research studies to gather insights into customer needs and preferences
Data Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and proprietary databases
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence databases and dashboards
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Pursuing bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, economics, marketing, or a related field is required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data are required
- Excellent research and writing skills required
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) required
