We are looking for exceptionally talented, motivated, and dynamic individuals to join the North Wind team – not only to support our mission but be an integral part of our continued success.nnPOSITION PURPOSE:nnA Contracts Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of a portfolio of Prime Contracts with Federal, non-Federal, and/or Commercial Clients for a North Wind company or companies.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnReviews solicitations and prepares routine responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.nnMay prepare simple requests for proposals.nnAnalyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.nnDrafts and negotiates simple contractual instruments commensurate with skills and grade level.nnUnderstands and implements contract policy and practice in day-to-day actions.nnEnsures contract review, approval, and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines.nnPrepares and administers routine/basic correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.nnPrepares, organizes, and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.nnMay conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.nnPerforms contract setup, administration, and closeout activities including data entry, paperwork processing using various corporate and enterprise software.nnAssists mid- to high-level contract professionals in working with internal or external business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.nnReview and understand basic Statement of Work and relationship to contract deliverables and can communicate this to project team members.nnAssists in the contract change control process including data entry and coordinating with other functional departments like Project Controls, Accounting, Subcontracts & Procurement, Operations, and Legal.nnAble to read, research, and develop a basic understanding of laws, regulations, and contract concepts and their relationship to contract administration and management.nnHave a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.nnADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnMay be assigned additional team responsibilities that support all team members.nnMay mentor and train less experienced professionals.nnMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:nnEducation and Experience:nnBachelor's with at least four years of experience in contract administration and management responsibilities; federal experience preferred over commercial experience.nnDegree should be in business, accounting, management, or a similar discipline.nnMaster's Degree may be used to offset contracts management experience.nnSkills and Abilities:nnAbility to draft simple, routine contractual instruments and correspondence.nnWorking knowledge of corporate policies and procedures applying critical thinking towards procedure/policy implementation.nnWorking knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable international contract law.nnStrong to excellent analytical and communication skills.nnGood presentation, leadership, and team-building skills.nnAbility to use Microsoft Office and AdobennUse of independent judgment and creativity applied to the resolution of contract issues.nnEmerging ability to excel in a professional, fast-paced environment.nnSpecial Requirements:nnSome overtime and/or after local business hours work due to time zone support.nnPHYSICAL DEMANDS:nnThis is primarily an office-setting position.nnWORKING ENVIRONMENT:nnIndoors, temperature controlled.nnNorth Wind offers a competitive pay and benefits package to include health, life, and disability insurance benefits, 401(k) with company match, generous paid leave and tuition reimbursement for eligible employees.
