Anesthesiology

Job Description

The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking CRNA candidates to help provide coverage for surgical operations at MU Health facilities. Benefits of the position includes:

* Starting salary of $250,000 for work commitment of 40 hours per week.

* Opportunities for additional compensation for working extra shifts (up to $210/hr).

* 27 days of paid time off, 9 paid holidays, and up to 8 additional days for CME/education time per year.

* Flexible shift options available designed to promote work/life balance.

* Options for signing bonus.

* Additional signing bonus or retention bonus for SRNAs currently in training or candidates within 1 years of completing training.

CRNAs provide anesthesia care under medical direction of anesthesiologists at 42 sites. The need for additional CRNAs is being prompted by the opening of a new women's and children's patient tower and the demands for expanding additional operative sites. Candidates will be considered staff positions within the Department of Anesthesiology with all of the associated benefits of the University of Missouri. Candidates must be Board Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and eligible for licensure in Missouri.

Shift

Multiple shift possibilities: 8-Hour shifts or 10-Hour shifts working predominantly Monday - Friday. Some occasional weekend assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a School of Nursing and possession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri.
Completion of an advanced nursing education program for Nurse Anesthetist.
Able to provide Documentation of Recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Missouri.
Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist is necessary. If a new graduate, the first available nationally recognized certification examination must be taken and successfully completed.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $225,000 - $250,000 annually
Grade: HMP - E
University Title: NURSE ANESTHETIST
